DECLARATION OF RESIDENCE PLACE

Data annulment about declared place of residence of an individual

The local government annuls the data about declared place of residence, if:
1) The individual has provided false information when declaring his or her place of residence;
2) The individual has no legal grounds to reside at his or her declared place of residence.

The local government checks the authenticity of declared data:
1) On its own initiative;
2) According to a real estate or an application submitted by an interested person.

The local government checks the provided data:
1) According to documents in its disposal;
2) According to data of information systems:
   a) In the Population Register;
   b) In the State Register of Addresses.
3) By inviting an individual to submit a document certifying the authenticity of declared data (for instance, existence of a rental agreement or an agreement with the owner of a real estate, or legal basis to reside at declared place of residence);
4) By requesting information from the owner of a real estate.

In case, if, during checking of information about declared place of residence, the local government has established that, during the period of submission of an application for declaration of place of residence, the individual did not have the legal basis referred to in his or her application to reside at the declared place of residence, such data about the declared place of residence shall be annulled from a date of submission of the declaration.
In case, if the local government has established that an individual has lost his or her rights to reside in the declared place of residence, such data about the declared place of residence shall be annulled from a date of making the decision.

After annulment of the data about place of residence declared by an individual, the local government shall update such information in the Population Register and shall notify the individual thereof.
